1. Meeting called to order by Chris Dominianni at 8:36 am.

2. Minutes of the June 8, 2006 meeting accepted.

3. Brenna Miller, owner of A Different Blend, a new coffee house located at 19 Clinton St. was introduced.

4. OLD BUSINESS:

Kiosk Rejuvenation – Barbette Dupree

Final Discussion of the Gala Opening of the Concert Series, July 22, 2006 including the benefit concert for the Strand by Roy Hurd.

Tom Lavin gave an update on the Summer Concert/ Art Series. The poster was designed and printed by Pennysaver and Ron Wilson. Flyers were given out to be distributed to local hotels. The Press Republican will print a playbill. Hall radio will run week long ads. Mountain Lake contributed to advertising. MCs for concerts need to choose dates. There was a discussion of including Family Day activities. The PDA ad with the Press Republican was reviewed. It is running on Mondays.

The judging of the Spring into Summer Contest will include 20 businesses.

July 29, 2006 will be a continuation of the Protection Avenue clean-up with Reality Check and Interfaith Hospitality participating.

5. NEW BUSINESS

Pat Ostrander will conduct an outdoor Coffee House on July 19, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. at the Westelcom Stage area.

The possibility of using the Westelcom building walkway as a VIP seating area was discussed.

Barbette Dupree will work on keeping the Kiosk current and discussed having a legend and advertising.

Donna Ferguson discussed the Downtown Association ad that appeared in the Press Republican. If people have changes they may contact her.

The PDA is considering a Best of Recipes Contest.

Rick Perry will assist the PDA in having a more focused presence for the Fishing Tournaments.

The Battle of Plattsburgh is coming up and downtown businesses need to do more to focus on that market.

A Community Garden cooperative effort is being discussed with SUNY and Ruthie from Clover Mead Farm.

The cooperative effort of the PDA and NCCCA on the Sidewalk Art Contest was an effort toward more summer outdoor projects for children.

S. Booker and Linda Hill will work on a Master List of possible projects. It is desired to broaden the scope of participation from PDA businesses. Booker suggested purchasing an umbrella for the next summer season for use at the outdoor activities cosponsored by the PDA and NCCCA

John Brady made a motion to adjourn. It was seconded by Barbette Dupree.
